Celtics-Lakers Playoff Championship Tickets Sale

NBA Celtics-Lakers Playoff Championship Finals Tickets On Sale Monday at 2 p.m.

Individual tickets for the NBA Finals (Round 4, Home Games 1 and 2) vs. the Los Angeles Lakers will go on sale Monday, June 2 at 2 p.m. There is a two (2) ticket limit per customer and seats start at just $30 in the Rite-Aid Family Section.

Home Game 1 and Home Game 2 of the NBA Finals are scheduled to be played at the TD Banknorth Garden on Thursday, June 5 at 9 p.m. and Sunday, June 8 at 9 p.m. Further schedule details will be announced on Celtics.com.

Celtics fans will be able to purchase Monday by visiting Celtics.com, by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX or by visiting the TD Banknorth Garden Box Office or Ticketmaster Outlet. Random number distribution will begin at approximately 1 p.m. at the TD Banknorth Garden Box Office for fans choosing to purchase there. Acceptable forms of payment for tickets are American Express and all other major credit cards and customers may also pay by cash at the TD Banknorth Garden Box Office or Ticketmaster Outlet.

Shrek The Musical Debut

Tickets for Shrek the Musical to Go on Sale May 31

Casting is now complete for Shrek the Musical, which will bound its way into the Broadway Theatre Nov. 8 with an official opening scheduled for Dec. 14.

As previously reported, Brian d'Arcy James, the singing actor who was recently seen in the Off-Broadway musical Next to Normal, will play the title role of the green ogre in the new musical with Cry-Baby's Chester Gregory II as Donkey, Avenue Q Tony nominee John Tartaglia as Pinocchio, Tony winner Sutton Foster (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Young Frankenstein) as Princess Fiona, Christopher Sieber (Monty Python's Spamalot) as Lord Farquaad and Kecia Lewis-Evans (The Drowsy Chaperone) as the dragon.

The now-complete ensemble will comprise Haven Burton (Legally Blonde, Rent), Jennifer Cody (Urinetown, The Pajama Game), Ben Crawford (Les Mis?rables), Bobby Daye (The Color Purple, The Lion King), Ryan Duncan (Altar Boyz), Sarah Jane Everman (The Apple Tree, Wicked), Aymee Garcia (Avenue Q), Leah Greenhaus, Justin Greer (The Producers), Lisa Ho (A Chorus Line), Chris Hoch (Spamalot, Die Mommie Die!), Danette Holden (Jackie Mason's Laughing Room Only), Jacob Ming-Trent (Epic Theatre Center's Widowers' Houses), Carolyn Ockert-Haythe (The Pajama Game, Wonderful Town), Marissa O'Donnell (Annie in 30th anniversary tour of Annie), Denny Paschall (Chicago, Beauty and the Beast), Greg Reuter (Spamalot), Adam Riegler (York Theatre Company's I and Albert), Noah Rivera (Wicked), Heather Jane Rolff (Wanda's World), Jennifer Simard (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Rachel Stern (High Fidelity, Tarzan), Dennis Stowe (The Apple Tree, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), David F.M. Shrek, according to a press statement, "is an entirely new musical based on the story and characters from William Steig's book 'Shrek!,' as well as the DreamWorks Animation film." The production will play an exclusive world-premiere engagement at The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle Aug. 14-Sept. 21.

Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole) penned the lyrics and libretto (based on the kid-lit character created by William Steig), and Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori (Millie, Caroline, or Change) wrote the music.

DreamWorks Theatricals is co-producing with Sam Mendes' Neal Street Productions Ltd. Jason Moore (Avenue Q and the Carnegie Hall Jerry Springer ? The Opera) is directing.

Josh Prince will choreograph the production, which will feature musical direction by Tim Weil, set and costume design by Tim Hatley, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone and sound design by Peter Hylenski.

Stanley Cup Finals Tickets

Penguins Tickets for Stanley Cup Finals go on sale Wednesday May 21, 2008.

There will be about 1,000 tickets for each of the first two home games of the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals will go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m., the Penguins announced.

The Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings will open the best-of-seven championship series at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Games 1 and 2 will be on Saturday, May 24 and Monday, May 26. The series will then move to Pittsburgh for Games 3 and 4 at Mellon Arena on May 28 and May 31.

The Penguins encourage fans to order online at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also are available for purchase at the Mellon Arena Gate One Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, or by calling Ticketmaster at 412-323-1919. Lottery systems will be used at the Gate One Box Office and Ticketmaster locations.

Kid Rock and Lynard Skynard Rebels Tour

Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd will team up for a run of co-headlining dates in August, beginning Aug. 8 in Oklahoma City. The shed tour, under the "Rock and Rebels" banner, will feature an opening act still to be announced.

Additionally, Skynyrd has been added to the bill of Kid Rock's May 15 Rock and Roll Revival show at Madison Square Garden in New York, joining Rev Run and Peter Wolf. That show will mark the first time Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Skynyrd, fresh off another co-headlining tour with Hank Williams Jr., has ever played the Garden.

Meanwhile, Rock's Revival runs through Western Canada in July with Rev Run and opening acts Matt Mays and El Torpedo. That tour added July 19, 20 and 22 at DTE Music Center in Clarkston, Mich., with July 19 and 20 sold out and only lawn tickets remaining for the July 22 date. Rev Run and Uncle Kracker are on the Detroit market shows, billed as Rock's "All Summer Long" party.

The Rock and Roll Revival Tour will resume on the West Coast in September with guests still to be announced.
